INDIAN PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF GOD

India Pentecostal Church of God, New Jersey Inc, was formed on January 1, 1997.  A few Malayali Pentecostal families from different places of New Jersey gathered together in Paramus, to worship the Lord in truth and spirits and with the purpose of new revival in New Jersey and the neighboring states. We are giving more importance in spiritual worship and holiness.

The first members are Pastor Varghese John & Family, Evg.P.T.Skariah & Family Bro. Samuel Mathew & Family, Bro. Cherian Mathew & Family. Initially Pastor Varghese John and later Pastor Babu Thomas gave leadership to the church. From 2001 onwards Pastor Dr. George Mathew is giving leadership to the church. Since 2005, according to the decision of IPC General Council Pastor George Mathew took the charge of IPC work in Tripura state; currently he is serving our church as the Senior Pastor.

In 2006 Pastor P.C. Varghese was appointed as the Pastor-in-Charge and in 2007 Pastor Philip Mathew was appointed as the Youth Pastor of the Church.

The current officials of the church for the years (2010-11) are Bro. Thomas John (President), Bro. Cherian Mathew (Secretary), Bro. Martin James (Joint-Secretary), Bro. Samuel Mathew ( Treasurer), and Sis. Anila Eugene (Sunday School Director).

In 2002, some families from Central New Jersey joined in the church, so we shifted our worship location to Newark and then to Kenilworth. Currently we conduct our worship service at Kenilworth Veterans Center, 33 S, 21st street, Kenilworth.

The Church’s primary aim is to worship the Lord in truth and spirit according to the patterns showed by the apostles and our forefathers in Malankara. If anyone needs prayer or spiritual help, especially in Kenilworth, and surrounding areas in Central New Jersey, we will be happy to serve you in the name of Jesus Christ.
